Boom Shankar ProjeKt (BSP) DJ Academy is a next step DJ Toons is immensely proud of. It is more than a standard DJing school. It’s a global community of 120+ successful DJs and music producers trained over 11+ years to become confident, skilled, and authentic DJ professionals.

Founded on a strong belief that everyone deserves access to professional DJ and music education, regardless of age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, ability, disability, or background.

Music belongs to everyone.

We’ve proven this across 11+ years of operation. Our alumni include:

  • Self-taught music enthusiasts developing formal skills
  • People with speaking difficulties learning through reading, vibration and rhythm
  • Students with physical disabilities adapting techniques to their capabilities
  • Adults returning to music later in life

  • Students with neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, etc.) thriving in our environment

Every student deserves a teacher who believes in them.

Our approach is not “one size fits all” but “every size fits.” We meet students where they are, adapt our teaching to their learning style, and celebrate their unique journey toward their musical career.

ALUMNI SUCCESS STORIES

"From Zero to Club Resident" Started with no musical background. After 12 weeks of BSP fundamentals, landed first club gig. Now resident DJ at top Mumbai venue, earning sustainable income from music. Helping support her family.

"Inclusive Triumph" - visually impaired student who was told he couldn’t become a DJ. DJ Toons taught him adapted techniques using haptic feedback and audio cues. Now performing professionally, also mentoring other visually impaired aspiring DJs.

A Personal Note from The Founder:

I created Boom Shankar ProjeKt Academy because I believe that talent isn’t a privilege for the lucky few, but it’s potential in everyone waiting for the right opportunity.

When I was starting out, I had struggled with access to equipment, mentors, and opportunities. But I’ve met equally talented people with literally zero access to education, no equipment, no connections. The difference between success and unrealised potential is often just one person believing in them and opening one door.

BSP DJ Academy is my way of opening that door for hundreds of students. Every student who graduates earning through music, every person who told me “I couldn’t do this” and proved they absolutely can, and that’s why I do this work.

Every student who walks through our doors deserves to know, that ‘We Believe in You’. Your background, age, physical ability doesn’t matter. Neither your economic circumstances nor your identity. What matters is your commitment, your willingness to learn and your openness to growth.
